How We Verify Reviews
No review is published on partnely without verification. See exactly what we require and how we confirm the collaboration.
At a glance
- No review is published automatically. Every submission starts as pending and is checked by the partnely team.
- We cross-check the collaboration. Where the deliverable is publicly inspectable — a website, an online store — we confirm it directly from the work itself.
- We contact the client — by phone or email — where the collaboration cannot be confirmed another way, or where something looks suspicious. That is why contact details are mandatory.
- Only approved reviews appear on the profile and count toward the professional's rating.
- Professionals cannot buy, edit or delete reviews — not even with a paid subscription.
What we require from the reviewer
To submit a review on a professional's profile, the client must provide the following details. Contact details are used exclusively for verification and are never published.
| Field | Required? | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Reviewer full name | Required | The real name of the client who worked with the professional. |
| Company name | Required | The business on whose behalf the project was carried out. |
| Reviewer email | Required | Used for identification — never published. |
| Contact phone or email | Required (at least one) | Used only to verify the collaboration — never published. |
| Project / collaboration title | Required | What the collaboration was about (e.g. “E-shop development”, “Google Ads campaign”). |
| Review text | Required | A description of the experience of working with the professional. |
| Ratings on 4 criteria (1–5) | Required | Work quality, reliability & consistency, value for money, likelihood to recommend. |
| Photo / proof | Optional | E.g. a screenshot of the deliverable or the collaboration. |
The verification process, step by step
- 1
Review submission
The client fills in the review form with all required details. The review is stored as pending and is not visible on the professional's profile.
- 2
Details check
Our team checks that the details are complete and consistent: a real name and company, valid contact information, and a description that matches a real project. Registered users must also have a verified account email.
- 3
Confirming the collaboration
In most cases the collaboration is confirmed from the deliverable itself: where the project is a website, an online store or other public work, we check whether it is genuinely connected to that professional.
Where that is not possible, or where something in the details looks suspicious, we contact the reviewer by phone or email to confirm that the collaboration took place and that they wrote the review themselves. The check is proportionate to the risk: we do not phone every reviewer, and we do not ask for an invoice or proof of payment.
- 4
Approval & publication
Only after successful verification is the review approved, shown on the professional's profile and counted toward their overall rating. Reviews that cannot be verified are rejected and never published.
Which reviews are rejected
We reject — and remove if discovered later — reviews that:
- Do not correspond to a real, verifiable collaboration.
- Come from the professional themselves, their associates or related parties (self-reviews).
- Were written in exchange for payment, discounts or gifts, or under pressure.
- Contain fake or non-working contact details, or the reviewer does not respond to the verification contact.
- Contain offensive, defamatory or illegal content.
How a professional's rating is calculated
Every approved review rates the professional on four criteria, on a scale of 1 to 5:
The overall score of a review is the average of the four criteria, and the profile rating is the average of all its approved reviews, rounded to one decimal place. Pending or rejected reviews are never counted.
Anonymous reviews
A client can choose to have their review displayed anonymously on the professional's profile. Even then, their full details (name, company, contact information) are still required and the review goes through exactly the same verification process — the details are simply not published.
Why this matters
When a business compares agencies and freelancers on partnely — for SEO, website development, advertising or any other service — the ratings it sees come exclusively from verified clients with real collaborations. That makes the comparison trustworthy: profiles do not compete on who can accumulate more fake reviews, but on who delivers better work.
Transparency note: Professionals' subscription plans only affect their visibility in the platform's search results — never their reviews or rating. There is no way, paid or otherwise, for a profile to obtain reviews that do not come from real, verified clients.
Frequently asked questions about review verification
Are all submitted reviews published on partnely?
No. Every review starts in a pending state and is not visible on the professional's profile. It is only published after the partnely team checks the details and confirms that the collaboration actually took place. Reviews that cannot be verified are rejected.
How does partnely verify that a collaboration actually happened?
In two ways, depending on the case. Where the deliverable is publicly inspectable — a website, an online store, a campaign — we confirm directly from the work itself that it is connected to that professional. Where that is not possible, or where something looks suspicious, we contact the client by phone or email using the details they must provide at submission. The check is proportionate to the risk: we do not phone every reviewer and we do not ask for an invoice or proof of payment. These engagements are agreed off the platform, so we hold no order record of our own to cross-check automatically.
Can a professional buy, edit or delete reviews?
No. Professionals cannot edit, hide or delete client reviews, and no subscription or payment to partnely affects their reviews or rating in any way. Ratings are calculated automatically and exclusively from approved reviews written by real, verified clients.
Will my contact details be published if I leave a review?
No. The phone number and email you provide are used exclusively to verify the collaboration and never appear publicly. The professional's profile only shows your name, company name, project title, review text and ratings.
Can I leave an anonymous review?
Yes. You can choose to have your review displayed anonymously on the professional's profile. However, your full details (name, company, contact information) are still required and the review goes through exactly the same verification process — they are simply not published.
How long does review verification take?
Usually a few business days. Where we need to contact the client, the timing mostly depends on how quickly they respond. Once the check is complete, the review is published on the profile and counted toward the professional's rating.
What if a professional believes a review is unfair or false?
They can contact us at info@partnely.com with supporting evidence. Our team re-examines the review and removes it if it turns out not to reflect a real collaboration or violates our rules. Disagreement with the content of a genuine review is not by itself grounds for removal.
